How I read this case
In energy you cannot switch the system off to test. That is why the cases that reach production came in through maintenance and forecasting, where being wrong costs money but leaves nobody in the dark. Moving to operating the live grid is a different order of demand.
The three questions
- Whether the model operates or only recommends, and who has the last word.
- What happens to continuity when the model is unavailable.
- How much of the saving comes from maintenance and how much from demand forecasting.
