How I read this case
Telcos were among the first to take AI into real operations, for an unromantic reason: they have the volume and they have the data. What is interesting is no longer that they detect a network anomaly — it is how much of the response happens without anybody approving it, and what limits were placed on that.
The three questions
- Which part of the response is automatic and where the handbrake sits.
- Whether the gain shows on the customer bill or only in the operations centre.
- How much of the case is network and how much is customer care: different problems.
